PLACER BREWERIES MAKE SPLASH AT GOLDEN 1

The new Golden 1 Center opened last month, beginning a new era of state-of-the-art entertainment in downtown Sacramento. The Elevate team has already had the chance to visit the arena (Maroon 5 was awesome!) and, to our delight, enjoyed the new food and beverage options.

Much has been said about the arena's focus on quality and local food, so we weren't surprised to see Mikuni and Mulvaney's with a marquis. But what was surprising were the plethora of local beers to choose from.

Sacramento and the Valley are represented by the likes of Track 7 and Oak Park Brewing Co., but some of our favorite Placer County breweries are also on the list.

Auburn Alehouse's Gold Digger IPA and Oktoberfest Marzen and Out of Bounds Brewing's Juiced Grapefruit Double IPA, Joyrider IPA and Cowbell Blonde Ale are on taps along the concourse and in VIP lounges.

Out of Bounds' Brewery Manager Bryan Crass commented, "It's great to see a large volume retailer that isn't dominated with the national brands. We're excited that Golden 1 is drinking fresh and local!"

The Moore family, owners of Knee Deep Brewing, have always been big Kings fans. Likewise, Kings fans loved their IPA when it was served at Sleep Train Arena. Now at Golden 1, Knee Deep's Breaking Bud IPA (a Bronze Medal winner at this month's Great American Beer Festival) and Citra Pale Ale are on tap and in bottles and cans. Also available is their sampler pack, six different beers in 12-ounce bottles.

Said Knee Deep Sales Manager Andrew Moore, "It's very humbling to be part of such an exciting time!! We are grateful to have the opportunity to serve our high-quality products within the stadium. It feels amazing that we can partner with the Kings and such a professional organization. One day, we hope to brew a special beer for the Kings, and maybe even get a few players up to Auburn to partake!"
