Mary Towne
Mary is the principal of Elevate Public Relations & Marketing. With over 30 years of experience, Mary has conceived and managed strategic marketing, public relations and advertising campaigns for both the public and private sectors. She has developed results-oriented marketing and public relations programs for organizations in the not-for-profit, financial, food and beverage, retail and sports entertainment industries and has used her expertise to raise awareness and enhance the image of many prominent brands.
Other notable experience includes public relations and consumer promotional strategies for Sunrise Mall and the Sacramento Capitals from World Team Tennis. Mary oversaw marketing efforts for Roseville Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Business and Economic Development Event. At Galleria at Roseville, she spearheaded messaging for new Holiday traffic patterns and managed marketing for the biannual Dream, Play House! event. Recent clients include Capital Valley Investments, Sacramento Gateway, Placer Vintners Association, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Paul Martin’s American Bistro, Sierra College, Placer Food Bank, Bennett's Kitchen Bar Market and The Fountains at Roseville.
Jessica Keefe
Jessica has 25 years of experience developing and managing public relations, marketing and communications campaigns, and consumer events. She draws on her experience in the hospitality industry, private sector and the not-for-profit arena to create and manage effective promotions, compelling collateral and valuable media exposure.
Her client experience includes Starwood Hotels where she served as public relations manager for The Westin Maui and the historic Century Plaza Hotel & Tower. At Beaulieu Vineyard she marketed the landmark winery’s Centennial Celebration and learned the intricacies of Biodynamic farming with the brothers at Benziger Family Winery.
Recent successes include earned media for Westfield, The Fountains at Roseville, California Association for Private Events and Junior Achievement.
She is heavily involved in her local school districts, participates in several community fundraising events, and, with a degree from USC, is a proud member of the Trojan family.
Geneveve Topoll
Geneveve is a graduate of Sacramento State University with a BA in communications studies/public relations and a minor in journalism. She most recently worked as a member of the communications team at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where she managed their social media platforms, created press materials and created the organization's newsletters.
For Elevate, Geneveve handles the primary responsibilities of social media content development and scheduling, community management and reporting, and newsletter copywriting, layout and distribution.
Jen Penn-Chiu
Jen's ability to combine technical expertise with an aesthetic sensibility and practical understanding of best practices help Elevate's clients maintain an eye-catching yet strategic internet presence.
As the digital landscape changes and client needs become increasingly specific, Jen is able to guide them to a cost-effective solution. Her many deliverables include dynamic websites, blogs, newsletters and other digital marketing tools.
When not at her computer, Jen is out and about, either at the movies, on a road trip or at a nearby museum.
Sarah Hodson
Sarah is the newest addition to the Elevate team and already has her hands full with several projects. She's our go-to gal, ready with a great idea and eager to assist with any client outreach needs. She has already become an indispensable member of Team Elevate.
A busy mom and local gal, you'll likely find Sarah at her kids' school or athletic events or a family barbecue.
Ariana Hernandez
A recent graduate of Sacramento State University, intern Ariana is putting her public relations degree to use and pursuing a career in public relations. An avid basketball fan and travel lover, we have it on good authority that her dream job may involve the Phoenix Suns.
She is a natural communicator, gifted writer, and eager to tackle any challenge sent her way. We appreciate her positive spirit and willingness to dive deep into our clients’ needs.
